Every person is not great at everything. If they were, service agencies wouldn’t exist, there would be no collaboration or brainstorming, and day-to-day operations might feel monotonous.

Entrepreneurs with a growth mindset already know that. They tackle the tasks that they are great at and either hire or outsource for other functions. Especially when it comes to important services like SEO, media buying and campaign management.

If you’re a midsize or large company, Sosemo has you covered. The award-winning strategic media planning, buying, and campaign management agency that leverages core digital channels including search marketing (SEM/SEO), social media, display, and programmatic to increase brand awareness and acquisitions for clients, has called PRIMARY home since early fall 2022.

We sat down with their VP/Director of Operations, Samantha Kryger, to learn more about Sosemo, and find out their favorite PRIMARY perks!

How long has the agency been in business?

Sosemo was founded in 2012 by Larry Gurreri, who started Sosemo to offer brands superior services and expertise in areas where their traditional agencies-of-record usually have little depth.

What’s unique about Sosemo?

We specialize in marketing health brands including pharma with regulatory expertise. We also offer an artisan approach to assessing inventory and determining optimal budget allocations, as well as a proprietary Keyword Listening solution for identifying content opportunities.

Who are some of your notable clients?

Our clients are some of the world’s most recognized brands including: Biogen, Janssen, Sobi, Tris, EY, Gilead, and Pfizer.

When starting to transition to office space, what were some of your non-negotiables?

We needed a location that was near public transportation, pet-friendly, provided an environment that was spacious and comfortable to work in, and offered a professional setting for hosting our clients.

How long did it take you to land at PRIMARY?

We spent close to 6 months looking for the right coworking space in various neighborhoods throughout NYC. The moment we walked into PRIMARY, there was no question that this was the best place for our team.

What were the key amenities that drew you to the space?

Our company culture is an important part of who we are. PRIMARY had the vibe and energy we were looking for. The daily wellness classes and happy hours are a couple of our team’s favorite perks.

Do you think being at a coworking space has opened up more business opportunities for Sosemo vs working from home or having traditional office space?

There are definitely advantages to working in a shared space. Networking opportunities can happen organically at any time and with a variety of industries and backgrounds.

What are your three favorite things about being in FiDi?

FiDi is always buzzing with energy; there's a lot of history in this neighborhood. Our team commutes from several boroughs and NJ, so the various transit options are an added convenience, and there are plenty of spots for dining and entertainment nearby.

Learn more about Sosemo here and follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

The team is very interested in opportunities to connect with more PRIMARY members through any organized event, whether it be for business, social, wellness, or community service, so don’t be shy!
